Saturday April 27, 11am–8pm: Oyster Fest @ Common Fields (Corvallis): Our friends at THE spot in Corvallis for craft beer and food trucks are running back Oyster Fest. Flying Fish and our buds at Local Ocean in Newport will join Common Fields for a full day of oysters, with special mignonettes and sauces for each oyster, a shucking contest, and oyster speed dating. @ Common Fields (545 SW 3rd St in Corvallis) • DETAILS
Tuesday April 30, 6:30–8pm: Film Screening of Heceta Bank: Oregon’s Hidden Wonder and panel discussion (OMSI): Did you know that 35 miles off the shore of Cape Perpetua there’s a unique and important submerged ecosystem? Saturday May 25, 12–6pm: Fort George Lupulin Ecstasy Festival (Astoria): If “Lupulin Ectsasy Festival” gives you flashbacks to a 1998 rave too, plug into those flashbacks with a day immersed in the cinematic world of Astoria — at the gorgeous and historic Flavel House and the Oregon Film Museum just down the street.
